I took the mineral iron pyrite and ground it fine with a mortar and pestle.
I extracted the golden water with a vinegar solution and poured it off until i had collected all of the yellow vinegar.
After the extractions were complete i took the leftover iron pyrite and calcined it outdoors through the colors of the peacock’s tail all the way to a final fixed red.

After the matter reached a final fixed red like an incombustible sulfur or a salamander which endures the fire it was allowed to cool and then placed back into an extraction vessel with more of my vinegar solution. The liquid became red like dragons blood.
The whole mass of roasted iron pyrite and red vinegar along with its sediment was poured off through stacked coffee filters then dissolved in warm vinegar and filtered again to reveal the fixed salt of iron pyrite. Dissolution and filtration seemed to prepare it more like “clear as liquid crystal” suggested in the alchemical writings of Theophrastus Paracelsus. additional roasting was not required as it only seemed to burn the salt. Iron pyrite.
I ground the mineral Iron Pyrite in a mortar and pestle which the writings of Theophrastus Paracelsus indicated grind as fine as the painters grind the colors.

I ground the chunks of iron pyrite and placed the iron pyrite into a large glass pickle jar for one of my alchemy experiments with iron pyrite. I added a large quantity of food grade white vinegar purchased at a local grocery store. i also added a much smaller amount of hydrogen peroxide theoretically creating a mild solution of peracetic acid. I loosely covered the top of the jar with plastic wrap to keep dust out but that expanding gases could find vent to save the glass pickle jar from breaking. The vinegar peroxide solution turned a golden yellow color over time which i poured off into an evaporation dish and evaporated outdoors on an electric hotplate.

The golden water evaporated to a green gum which i called my green lion of alchemy. this i carefully dried in sunlight to avoid burning its flowers or destroying its green color. I placed my dry alchemy green lion in a borosilicate retort which i had purchased from Amazon.

On the low heat of an electric hot plate my alchemy green lion extracted from iron pyrite seemed to melt and flow like pitch or wax. My green lion of alchemy turned black and bubbles came to the surface like unto the eyes of fishes. A clear liquid distilled over into the receiver which i called the blood of the green lion. After that finished i stoppled the flask and turned up the heat gradually by degrees. A volatile white material rose and affixed itself to the upper portions of the glass retort. I then scraped out the black earth from the bottom of the retort and calcined it with fire of the hottest degree.
My green lion of alchemy changed to a fixed red earth like powder. It seemed to no longer be affected by heat or fire. Alchemy of Steven School.

What is alchemy?
Alchemy was the ancient science and the science of kings. Also called the great work, alchemy was practised in the pyramids however it is believed to be much older than that. Alchemy was the predecessor to modern science and the foundation of many things such as the production of dyes and glassware, herbal medicines which were called tincture, or elixirs and sometimes “stones”. Alchemy was also about metallurgy. Was alchemy a real science? It was practised by high priest’s in the pyramids such as Hermes Trismegistus basically meaning master of the three worlds which might be interpreted as the vegetable, animal, and mineral stones or the holy trinity of salt sulfur and mercury. Alchemy seemed to be important enough for ancient people to create emerald tablets about it as well as the Ripley scrolls. Nicholas Flamel Versus Michael Sendivogius On The Dry Path Of Alchemy
Here we will compare the alchemical writings of Nicholas Flamel against those of Michael Sendivogius as if the two were doing battle in the creation of the philosopher’s stone or the transmutation powder of alchemy. Let us begin this battle of the sages with alchemical writings attributed to Nicholas Flamel.
I Nicholas Flamel am seized with a desire to write out the whole magistery of the secret of the Powder of Projection, or the Philosophical Tincture, which God hath willed to impart to his very insignificant servant, and which I have found out, as thou also wilt find out in working as I shall declare unto you. . Take thou in the first place the eldest or first-born child of Saturn, not the vulgar, 9 parts; of the sabre chalibs of the God of War, 4 parts. Put this latter into a crucible, and when it comes to a melting redness, cast therein the 9 parts of Saturn, and immediately this will redden the other. Some believe they have the whole magistery, when they have the heavenly Mercury prepared; but they are grossly deceived. It is for this cause they find thorns before they pluck the rose, for want of understanding. It is true indeed, that were they to understand the weight, the regimen of the fire, and the suitable way, they would not have much to do, and could not fail even if they would. But in this art there is a way to work. Learn therefore and observe well how to operate, in the manner I am about to relate to you. Take this white or red sulphur, triturate it in a glass or marble mortar, and pour on it, in sprinking it, a third part of its weight of the Mercury from which this sulphur has been drawn. put again this mixture into an oval glass; place it in a furnace on a suitable fire. Concoct until the said Mercury is changed into sulphur, and during this coction, thou wilt see wonderful things in thy vessel, that is to say, all the colours which exist in the world, which thou canst not behold without lifting up thy heart to God in gratitude for so great a gift. When thou has attained to the purple red, thou must gather it: for then the alchymical powder is made, transmuting every metal into fine pure and neat gold, which thou maist multiply by watering it as thou hast already done, grinding it with fresh “Mercury”, concocting it in the same vessel, furnace and fire, and the time will be much shorter, and its virtue ten times stronger. This then is the whole magistery done with “Mercury” alone, which some do not believe to be true, because they are weak and stupid, and not at all able to comprehend this work. the matter will pass through all the colours, the black, the ash colour, the blue, the green, the white, the orange, and finally the red as red as blood or the crimson poppy: aim only at this last colour; for it is the true sulphur, and the alchymical powder. If thou are disposed to multiply thy powder, take one part thereof, and water it with two parts of thy animated Mercury; make it into a soft and smooth paste; put it in a vessel as thou hast already done, in the same furnace and fire, and concoct it. This second turn of the philosophic wheel will be done in less time than the first, and thy powder will have ten times more strength. Let is wheel about again even a thousand times, and as much as thou wilt. Thou wilt then have a treasure without price, superior to all there is in the world, and thou canst desire nothing more here below, for thou hast both health and riches, if thou useth them properly.
